Hello fans and friends of the Center Theatre,

This weekend Dover and Foxcroft celebrate the 100th anniversary of their marriage and the Center Theatre is part of the celebration! Keep an eye out for our float in the big parade. (Spoiler Alert: You might see a certain lovable Tramp who would have been on the screen at the New Star Theatre in 1922!)

After the parade, we have some fun events this weekend. Along with showings of Bullet Train with Brad Pitt and the DC League of Super Pets, our talented teen actors will perform their Travelling Summer Shorts. These hilarious short plays will be performed on Saturday and Sunday at 1pm - admission by donation. I probably don’t need to remind you (but I will) that thanks to the wonders of Heat Pumps the Theatre is nice and cool all the time. We’ll be open all weekend, so feel free to just come inside if you need a place to cool off.

Looking forward, Larry John McNally will be performing on August 12th at 8pm. I really am looking forward to this show. LJM is an amazing singer/songwriter whose songs have been performed by some of the biggest stars around. We’re lucky to catch him while he’s not touring the world. Hoping to see you there.

Lastly, the Center Theatre is looking for a few folks who would like to give us some feedback on our programming. We’re planning to meet a few times over the next couple months to talk about our live programming, movies, and community events.
