Honoring our veterans
Annual appreciation event returns
Each November, Cabarrus County comes together to remember and honor the service and sacrifice of all veterans. This year is no different. The Veteran's Services Department is hosting its annual appreciation event on Saturday, November 11 at 11 a.m. at the Boys & Girls Club, 247 Spring St., Concord. All Cabarrus veterans are invited to the celebration.
Operation Green Light Cabarrus is joining organizations across the nation in the initiative designed to shine a light on the service of our veterans and their families. From November 6 through the 12, citizens are encouraged to illuminate their place of business or homes green. Roughly 250,000 members transition out of the armed services each year. Join #OperationGreenLight for Veterans to help shine a light to support and welcome our veterans home.
