Broadway Flight Performances Return to Creative 360

On Friday, September 30th, the glamour and glitter of Broadway returns to Creative 360’s Bayliss Stage as 25 Michigan artists come together to present the first installment of the 2022-23 Broadway Flight Series.

The Broadway Flight Series, which debuted in May of this year, is an enhanced cabaret style performance that offers a taste test of four different Broadway Shows in one fun-filled evening. In addition, each show on the stage is paired with a clever, corresponding wine to create a wine flight that comes as part of the ticket.

“Part of the fun is using clues to figure out which wine is paired with which show,” remarked the show’s coordinator, Laura Brigham.  “We promise each guest a “balanced evening of smooth, live entertainment with a spicy finish!” and even offer a fun non-alcoholic option for those who request it.”

Broadway Flight performances are designed to include all styles of musical, from classics to the latest craze and even a few undiscovered treasures thrown in. Creative 360 does not make an announcement ahead of time about which shows will be performed are going to be.  “We like to surprise folks,” said director Laura Vosejpka. “But I CAN share that if you were hoping to hear some of the 2022 Tony winning best original score, you should come!”

The series was the brainchild of Brigham, who wanted to find a way to share a variety of unique Broadway shows in a way that would be accessible to a wider audience.  “There are so many shows that local actors and musicians want to perform that are not being staged in our area,” said Brigham. “I also love that having four small vignettes in a show allows us to involve so many talented local artists!”

The performance will be accompanied by pianist James Hohmeyer, bassist Roland Wallace, and drummer Steve Nyquist. Performers include Jenna Doyle, Meagan Eager, Megan Farison, Mary Lenz Gilbert, Maranda Ginop, Olivia Greanias, Clara Irvine, Darby Johnson, Grace Johnson, Danielle Katsoulos, Claudia Marsh, April Millward, Brad Phillips, Alena Ramos, Marci Rogers, Carol Rumba, Jake Salisbury, Gretchen Shope, Glecia Tatum, Allie Williams.The shows will once again be narrated by Midland actor Katie McLean-Peters.

The Broadway Flight is Friday, September 30 from 7-9 pm. Admission is $20 pre-pay and $25 at the door. Ticket price includes wine or lemonade flights. Additional wines will be available for purchase. You may bring snacks!
