Cinema Arts Centre: What is one of your favorite memories at the Cinema Arts Centre?

Sandy Friedman: One of my favorite memories of the Cinema was when Christopher Plummer appeared. I was shocked to hear that he hated “The Sound of Music.” I have spent many memorable evenings at the Cinema’s special events where actors, producers and directors have appeared.

CAC: How would you describe the Cinema Arts Centre’s most important contributions to our community?

SF: I think that the Cinema’s most important contributions to the community are providing a cultural venue, highlighting new and important films, and bringing important people involved in the movies to speak to our community.

CAC: What made you decide to contribute your time and resources to the Cinema through Board service?

SF: I decided to contribute my time and resources to the Cinema through Board service because of its intellectual importance to the community.

CAC: What is one of the biggest changes you have seen in our Cinema community over the years?

SF: I have not seen many big changes in the Cinema community over the years. I would like to see more diversity in our audience and would encourage any CAC member who is interested in learning about Board Service to contact any of the Board members. It is a very rewarding experience.

All of us at the Cinema Arts Centre are so grateful for the meaningful service of Sandy Friedman, and all of members of our Board of Directors.
