The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA), in partnership with Emerald Development, today announced the opening of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for design teams interested in the North Boulder Creative Campus project located at 4401 and 4481 Broadway in Boulder, Colorado. The RFQ is open from January 29,2024, with submissions due by March 15, 2024.

This RFQ is seeking innovative and visionary design teams to develop a 100,000-square-foot campus that integrates creative, residential, and commercial spaces. BMoCA, a key cultural institution in Boulder for over fifty years, will be the cornerstone of the Creative Campus, which aims to celebrate artistic expression in a sustainable and inclusive environment.

The project seeks to reflect the dynamic spirit of North Boulder, promoting a blend of creativity, urban living, and environmental sustainability. The chosen design team will need to demonstrate a track record of innovative architectural design and a commitment to community-centric development.

Design teams are invited to submit their qualifications, including portfolios demonstrating relevant experience, conceptual approaches to similar projects, and an outline of their proposed team structure.

"BMoCA Board of Directors is excited to see the array of creative visions that will be presented for the North Boulder Creative Campus. This is a unique opportunity for designers to leave a lasting impact on Boulder's cultural and architectural landscape, and creating a home to further BMoCA's community impact for it's next 50 years," remarks Tomas Mendez, BMoCA Board Chair..

"Our goal is for your expertise and innovative design solutions to align perfectly with our vision for this community project. We invite you to participate in this RFQ process and join us in shaping the future of North Boulder," comments Andrew Ghadimi, Project Principle at Emerald Development

For over half a century, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art has been at the forefront of promoting contemporary art in Boulder. This RFQ for the North Boulder Creative Campus, a collaborative project with Emerald Development, represents a significant step in BMoCA's mission to enhance the cultural and social landscape of Boulder.
