Be the First to Celebrate 100 Years of Museum Of The City Of New York

"One hundred years ago, MCNY became the first museum in the United States dedicated to the study of a single city. Celebrating our Centennial is a moment both to look back and to look ahead – and to underline our commitment to connecting the past, present, and future of this incomparable place."

- Dr. Sarah Henry, Robert A. and Elizabeth Rohn Jeffe Chief Curator and Acting Director

In 2023, the Museum of the City of New York will celebrate its landmark Centennial year. We were founded almost 100 years ago with a vision to be a space for New Yorkers, by New Yorkers. We have remained committed to this ideal ever since, sharing stories from every corner of the five boroughs.

Help us kick off our Centennial year. Make a gift to the Museum today and support our work as New York’s storyteller for the next 100 years and beyond. All gifts made by 12/31/22 up to $100,000 will be matched by an anonymous donor.

Thank you for being a part of our first 100 years. Join us for our next by supporting the Museum today!
