Are you ready to take rockin’ for a great cause to a new level?

Battle of the Bands is a competitive concert and fundraising event hosted by Chapman Cultural Center to highlight, celebrate, and support musicians in Spartanburg. The main event will take place on January 27, 2024, with free-to-the-public, genre-specific qualifying events from June to November 2023.

This event will raise funds to support our grant funding program and be an opportunity for local musicians to win $5,000+

APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED

We are now extending the application deadlines to make them genre specific:

- Hip-Hop: 5/28/2023
- Funk/Soul/R&B: 6/27/2023
- Singer/Songwriter: 7/23/2023
- Rock: 8/20/2023
- Country: September
- Heavy Metal: 10/9/2023

From monthly, genre-specific qualifying at local venues, to the final event on January 27, 2024, this event will be a collaborative effort with musicians, non-profits, and our business community.
