Paws to Read

Saturday, September 30

11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Children's Department

All ages

Children are invited to practice their reading skills with friendly puppy pals!  Join us one Saturday a month in the Children’s Department for Paws to Read!

Trained therapy dogs make an ideal audience for beginning, struggling and reluctant readers. The dogs are non-judgmental listeners, which allows kids to practice in a no pressure situation, that can also help to build a positive attitude toward reading.

Additional Resources

Resource databases, such as biography reference banks, encyclopedias, and a number of other tools covering a variety of topics, are available through the Barberton Public Library to help students complete homework assignments.
