A Note From Your Chamber CEO

Oh, it feels so good to be back! I took a couple weeks off after an accident I had on July 3 and I forgot how much I love being at work. Although I am VERY happy, I work indoors on days like today. It is a GREAT week to come back as we have a Mixer this Thursday and those are one of my favorite days of the Month at Roper's Jewelers ALWAYS has a great Mixer!

Because I have been gone, I want to catch up by thanking everyone that sponsored, volunteered and enjoyed the Auburn Family Fourth of July! I was there physically but not as much mentally, from the little I saw it seemed like everyone had a great time. I am thankful for an amazing committee of volunteers who helped make the day as amazing as it was. I am especially thankful for my Assistant Ashley who not only did her job for the event but also most of mine. Not only that but has been literally my right hand for the past two weeks and filled in for me every step of the way. Without such great volunteers and staff, I would not be able to do what I do to support our wonderful business community. I want to make an extra special thank you to Tracy from Carol's Market & Deli for coming through the day of with an EXTRA sponsorship to pay to have the Ball Field Unlocked so that families could enjoy the fireworks inside the Fairgrounds. This was a last-minute change that we were unaware of prior to the event and she stepped up to make sure people were happy and stayed to buy from all our wonderful vendors. Thank you so much Tracy!

Now that Fourth is done we have a little pause (but not long) before our Business Showcase at the Gold Country Fair in September. We started this last year and it was such a big hit we decided to continue this year. We have sponsored the Sierra Building for the Fair and are offering discounted booth space for our members only. We are excited to showcase the wonderful Auburn Area Businesses to the 35,000+ people that come through the fair gates for fair. This office is located in the IFC building on El Dorado Street here in Auburn. This is a 169 sq ft executive suite private office which you will have access to common areas like conference room, kitchen, bathrooms, etc.
