Attention, business owners in unincorporated King County

The King County Local Services Business Survey is open for responses. We’ll use your responses to develop services and programs to support businesses in unincorporated King County. By taking this 10-minute survey, you’ll give us information that helps us help businesses in your community.

Please tell us about your business and how you have managed your operations the last couple of years. Did you seek and get business grants? Was technical assistance available to you? Did your business plan change? How would you rate your business response to the changing economy today?

We want to hear from all businesses in unincorporated King County—from a one-person sole proprietorship in Skyway to a 40-staff farming operation in Fall City or a 200-person medical equipment manufacturer on Vashon Island.

The survey deadline is 1:59 p.m. on Friday, November 18.

Leadership Institute of South Puget Sound Class of 2023

Apply or send an emerging leader!

The Leadership Institute of South Puget Sound is an opportunity for current and emerging leaders to engage with the business community and elected officials while developing leadership skills, linking with a mentor, and interacting with exemplary leaders.

The program explores leadership development, assesses leadership strengths and weaknesses, provides opportunities to learn from local leaders who contribute to the vitality of our community, and offers visits to local organizations at the heart of our regional business community.

Why do your employees need leadership training?

Managers who are trained to become effective leaders can increase the overall productivity of your workforce. Good leaders can better provide instruction to staff, assess problems, provide creative solutions and manage challenges.

Why is investing in leadership important?

Valuable outcomes such as increasing revenue, changing culture, or leading transformation start with leaders who have the skills to take the right actions. Companies that invest in their leaders can expect to become more competitive, better able to attract and retain talent, and more likely to have long-term success.
