According to the oral history passed down through eight generations of her family, retired pediatrician Bettye Kearse is a descendant of the enslaved cook Coreen and her enslaver, and half-brother, President James Madison. She’ll be talking about her book "The Other Madisons: The Lost Story of a President’s Black Family".

The Tumble Bus is an old school bus that has been fitted with floor padding and gym equipment that allows kids to balance, climb, jump, crawl and hang.

Art in the Library

Annual Ashland High School student art summer exhibit
June 22nd - August 27th

Come see some of the best artwork created by students this past year. The artwork on display ranges from traditional studio arts to modern digital and technical arts.

Art educators Scott Smith,Leah Marquist, & Rebecca Micucci celebrate the artistic achievements of their students.

The Friends of The Ashland Library

The Friends are now accepting book donations at the library. You can drop your books off on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:00am – 1:00pm.

If you cannot make it at this time, we do have a drop off box in the lobby of the library.
