Aspencade Music and Arts Festival 2023

Arts and Entertainment

September 7, 2023

From: Aspencade Music and Arts Festival

Aspencade (formerly known as Red River Folk Festival) returns in 2023 with a fresh face! This boutique festival takes place across four days during the anticipated peak of the aspen changing to their autumn colors. Live music fills the air, and artisan craft vendors fill the park! Our crafts fair features beautiful works from New Mexico and around the Southwest. The crisp fall air and gorgeous mountain scenery complete the setting for this one-of-a-kind festival experience. Celebrate the changing of the season with us in Red River, New Mexico this fall!

Festival Experience
Brandenburg Park
Located in the middle of town, Brandenburg Park hosts all daytime festivities on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Musical performances featuring outstanding artists from around the country will keep you tapping your toes while you shop beautiful handmade goods at the crafts fair!  The fair focuses on artisans from New Mexico and around the Southwest. You'll see jewelry, home furnishings, food, art, pottery, and more. On Sunday, admission is free to the crafts fair and there are no scheduled musical performances. Kids 12 and under get in free every day!
Well-behaved pets are also allowed and must be leashed at all times.

Motherlode Saloon
Located just a few blocks from Brandenburg Park, the historic Motherlode is where we'll spend Thursday - Saturday evenings. This storied dance hall is one of the Southwest's last great honky-tonks. Thursday and Friday evenings, we've scheduled intimate seated shows with two unforgettable artists each night. Saturday night, we'll clear the chairs and open up the dance floor for Honky Tonk Night with bands guaranteed to have you two-steppin' 'til closin' time! Bring your dancin' boots!
The Motherlode Saloon is ages 21 and over only.

Crafts Fair
Talented artists from across the Southwest converge in Red River, NM for a one-of-a-kind show! This arts and crafts fair takes place alongside and within Aspencade Music Festival. Artisan booths featuring handmade goods and art are featured throughout the park and inside the Red River Conference Center.
