Virtual - Enjoying Local Wildlife: Cape Ann to the Merrimack River with Bill Gette

During his PowerPoint lecture, Bill will take you on a photographic excursion from the rocky headlands of Cape Ann, through historic Essex, to the expansive saltmarshes of the Plum Island Estuary and the barrier island beaches at the mouth of the Merrimack River. He will show you beautiful scenery and an incredible variety of wildlife that not only survives but prospers during our harsh winters.

Ventriloquist and puppeteer Kasandra Vargas brings her friend Shelly the sea turtle for a fun-filled program.

Engineering Exploration
Thursday, November 9 @ 4pm
Candy Pumpkin Catapults - Each participant will create catapults out of rubber bands and popsicle sticks, and launch candy pumpkins across the room! Kids will be able to take their catapults home at the end of the program.

Lego Club 
*Ages 5-9
Thursday, November 16 @ 4pm
Each child will be given a box filled with an assortment of Lego blocks to build a creation using only what's inside the box within the 45 minute time limit.

Read to a Dog with Knives and Machete
(yes, those really are the dogs’ names!)
*For kids who are reading on their own
Saturday, November 18 @ 1:30pm
Children with some reading ability will have the chance to read to one of our registered therapy dogs for 10 minutes.

Virtual: Body Image, Social Media & Beauty Standards Discussion with the AHS CARES Team

The CARES Team would like to invite you to a 90 minute discussion on the topics of Body Image, Social Media & Beauty Standards. Participants will watch three short videos during the discussion on these themes. Facilitators: Leah Marshquist, Jill Bosko, & Allishba Syeda
