Local artist and printmaker Oran Miller will be revealing several brand new handmade woodcut prints both in layered color inks and black monochrome. This body of work varies from piece to piece in its surface detail and approach to image making, yet holds true to this artist’s characteristic pursuit of blending realism and mysticism to illustrate his personal mythologies. Woodcut print making is the earliest form of European printing onto paper for the purpose of repeating the written word and drawn image for public consumption, first discovered in the 15th Century.

Opening reception for this show takes place at 4 pm at The Wine Smith on Saturday, November 19, with live music from Robin King and The Tepid Club of Cool from 7-9 pm.
