Join us on June 8 at 6pm for a crucial and timely virtual conversation with artist Alexander D'Agostino and historian David K. Johnson, author of The Lavender Scare: The Cold War Era Persecution of Gays and Lesbians in the Federal Government. This virtual program is free but registration is required. Register here.

The conversation takes place as part of AAC’s Pride month programming and in conjunction with the exhibition Alexander D’Agostino: Lavender Shrine, on view at AAC through June 18 as part of SOLOS 2022.

As part of our Pride month programming and in conjunction with the exhibition Alexander D’Agostino: Lavender Shrine, on view at AAC through June 18, Arlington Arts Center is proud to present a virtual screening of the award-winning documentary The Lavender Scare. Based on David K. Johnson's groundbreaking book, The Lavender Scare is the first documentary film to tell the story of the US government's four decades-long campaign to identify, harass, and fire gay and lesbian employees.

Summer Camps

Monday - Friday, June 27 - August 26, 2022

We are just about three weeks away from the start of summer camps!

From drawing, painting, ceramics, and more your creative kids and teens are sure to find a camp that excites! We are looking forward to a safe, fun, and creative summer at Arlington Arts Center! Campers will go on an artistic journey and explore the visual arts through exciting projects in 2D and 3D media while learning about new and different artistic techniques and contemporary artists working in the world today! Campers at AAC may even get the chance to tour AAC’s art galleries and create works inspired by what they see. Half and full day camps are offered for ages 5-78-1011-14, and 14-18.

AAC is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Marymount University this summer in offering new ceramic camps onsite at MU! Students will build and explore 3D pottery, sculpture, and more! Guided by professional ceramic artists, campers will hone their skills and challenge their imaginations.  Camps are offered for ages 5-78-1011-14, and 14-18.
