Governor Gordon's Gas and Diesel Working Group was tasked with finding solutions to help provide relief at the fuel pump for Wyoming families. A pair of public meetings brought together public and private sector representatives to explore the issue, resulting in several proposals contained in the group's final report. Increasing the capacity of Wyoming refiners is a concept the Working Group identified as a goal.
Governor Celebrates Wyoming’s First Veterans Skilled Nursing Facility
The Governor joined veterans and other dignitaries to celebrate the newly constructed Veterans Home of Wyoming with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Buffalo. It's the state's first skilled nursing facility dedicated to veterans, and will offer long-term care to veterans, their spouses and Gold Star families. "This beautiful facility reflects the honor and dignity owed to those who sacrificed so much to protect our way of life,” Governor Gordon said.
Mental Health Summit Helps Increase Collaboration
The Governor's Mental Health Summit in Casper brought together providers, advocates and members of the Legislative and Judicial branches. The sold-out event reflected a commitment among communities and providers to work together to find a solution for sustainable mental health services.
