Kids! Join AFL's Winter Reading Challenge Today!

From Jan.1 to Jan. 31, 2023, Alameda Free Library is participating in “All the Feels,” a Winter Reading Challenge sponsored by Beanstack. We challenge kids to read for 8 hours during January, complete some fun activities, and keep track of their reading on our Beanstack site at alamedafree.beanstack.org or on the Beanstack mobile app. Read and complete some fun activities to earn cute digital badges, and win a real "Create Your Own Emoji" sticker sheet upon completion!

The challenge begins on January 1st, but kids of all ages may register now to drum up excitement. Because "All The Feels" begins when school is out for most, we encourage you to urge students' families to register their children on Beanstack. (Please do not attempt to register as a class.) We are encouraging online or in-app logging, so there is no paper log available. Students are welcome to visit their local Alameda Free Library branch to sign up in person or to record their progress if they don't have online access at home. As with our Summer Reading challenge we count the time spent reading, not the number of books. So, read what brings you joy, and find some inspiration and incentive to read more along the "All The Feels" journey. Happy reading!
