From: Alachua County Library District - Headquarters Library

October 2023

Start off October with a banned book during Banned Books Week from October 1-7.  Take some time to learn more about the titles targeted for removal or restriction in public and school libraries, the harms of censorship, and what we can do to preserve our right to read.

Do you hear bagpipes? The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale is right around the corner! Celebrate all things teen during TeenTober, and get ready for Halloween with recipe blogs and spooky library programs. Check out two new BingePasses from hoopla and dig into family history with HeritageQuest Online and Ancestry Library Edition.
