Budget Opem Houses

The City Council is working hard on the 2023 budget and we want YOU to be part of the process. Join us for Tuesday or Wednesday to see exactly what your tax dollars pay for in Shawnee. We will also break down any questions about the mill levy and the revenue neutral rate because we know those can be confusing. Tuesday's open house will take place virtually from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Budget Open House on Wednesday will be at the Civic Centre from 6 p.m. to  8 p.m. Find all those details at cityofshawnee.org/budget.

Jammin On The Green

Shawnee Town 1929 is welcoming a brand new band on Wednedayto the Jammin' stage...AnnaLee and the Lucky So & Sos! This Kansas City swing band will take the stage from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 11501 West 57th Street. Bring your lawn chairs and get ready for a great evening! Mayor's Top Dog Contest

Do you have Shawnee's Best Pooch? Enter Fido into our Mayor's Top Dog competition! Registration closes on September 29 so get your entries in now! For more information, visit cityofshawnee.org/news. Farmers Market

A Glance Ahead

Next week, City offices will be closed on Monday, September 5 in observance of Labor Day. They will reopen on Tuesday morning!
