CITY MEETINGS

The City Council and Council Committee will both meet on Monday, November 14 in City Hall's Council Chambers. The City Council meeting will start at 6 p.m. and will be followed by the City Council Committee Meeting. Both meetings will take place at 11110 Johnson Drive. This Thursday is our last Moonlight Market of the season with a holiday twist! Join the Mayor as she lights the Mayor's Christmas Tree and enjoy local live performances, shop from holiday-themed vendors, visit Santa, see the Reindeer, munch on some food truck fare and local drinks and do some holiday-themed crafts! You can take in all this and more from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 11110 Johnson Drive. More information can be found at cityofshawnee.org/news. We can't wait to see you there!

Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund

Every year, Mayor Michelle Distler hosts fundraising efforts to help local organizations of her choice. This year, Mayor Distler chose Shawnee Community Services and Mercy and Truth Medical Missions as recipients! There are several ways you can help out including online donations, a fun night out at Servaes Brewing Company, the hit Dine at the Vine event at Wandering Vine at the Castle, bluebird box dedication plaques, purchasing a Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund candle, shirt, holiday card or ornament at the Shawnee Town 1929 Gift Shop. Other Happenings...

The Mayor's Christmas Tree fundraiser is headed to Servaes Brewery on Wednesday night for some Music Bingo For a Cause! Proceeds will go to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund. Who doesn't love helping the community with a local brew?! This event will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is located at 10921 Johnson Drive. Want to know what else is new in the City? A Glance Ahead

Next week, the Planning Commission will meet on Monday. All City offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving! The Civic Centre will remain closed all weekend.
