The 5th Annual San Antonio African American Book Festival (SAAABF) will be held on Saturday from Noon - 5:00pm. This year's Author Lineup will include over 40 Talented African American Authors from all over the nation who have chosen to share their narratives here in San Antonio, Texas. There will be books available in every genre, including Children's, Adult Fiction, Religious/ Inspirational and more! We will also feature a discussion by our local Keynote Author and delicious food from our local Food Trucks.

The San Antonio African American Book Festival is held every year, on the Last Saturday of February at Second Baptist Community Center (3310 E. Commerce Street) right next door to the historic G.W. Carver Branch Library in San Antonio, Texas. This Annual Black History Month event was created to celebrate the Power of Black Literature, reinforce the fact that Representation Matters and to proudly Encourage Black Economics. Literacy improves our lives by expanding the capabilities that reduce poverty by increasing the likelihood of success in educational and career endeavors, which have proven to have positive effects on a community's health and overall quality of life. Literacy empowers and liberates people.
