Platteville's Hometown Festival Week is a flurry of activity celebrating our community. Events include Southwest Music Festival, Southwest Health's Berry Festival, Southwest Christian Music Festival, Party in the Park "Salute to Volunteers" and Trinity Episcopal Church's Fish Boil. Our Arts & Craft Fair will take place at City Park near the end of the 9-day week.

This fun-filled festival is sure to keep you entertained all week long!

Saturday, July 15, 2023

8:00am - 12:00pm: Platteville Farmer’s Market at City Park

9:00am: Breaking Away from Domestic Violence Bicycle Race,Recreational Ride & 5k Run at Mound View Park. Platteville Family Resource Center will host this 36-mile bike race or .33 mile recreational ride around Mound View Park. All proceeds from the race benefit Family Advocates. This year there will also be a 5K run along the Rountree Branch Trail. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., 5K run starts at 9 a.m., amateur bike race starts at 10 a.m., family awareness race starts at 10:30 a.m.

11:00am - Midnight: Southwest Music Festival
Platteville Regional Chamber’s Southwest Music Festival on historic Second Street. No carry-ins, and no large bags. Bring your lawn chair! Admission $20, Advanced, $25 at the gate

11:30am: Stolen Grace
2:00pm: Donice Morace
5:00pm: Sonic Circus
9:00pm: Madison County

3:00pm - 8:00pm: Cruise In On Main. The Southwest Auto Club & O’Reilly Auto parts are hosting a car Cruise In right in the middle of Main Street! In addition to cars there will be music,food and a 50/50 raffle. FREE ADMISSION

5:00pm - 7:30pm: Enjoy an Evening at Katie’s Garden where you can read the story walk and meet the author of “Sassy the Turtle,” Sue Kies. Books will be available for purchase and to be signed. Building Platteville will be hosting a Burger & Brat Fundraiser for new inflatables for Winter Wonderland. This will be offered as a drive thru option or find a nice spot in the Garden to enjoy dinner. There will be assorted lawn games and activities for children to enjoy.

4:30pm - 8:00pm: Southwest Health is excited to host Berry Fest, part of Platteville’s Hometown Festival Week. Join us from 4:30 to 7:30 PM for live music, games, dinner, and fun for the whole family. Berry Fest is your opportunity to meet with Southwest Health employees, connect with local resources, and celebrate all the great things happening in the community.

10:00am - 5:00pm: Guided Mine Tour & Train Ride Half Price admission for everyone! Head over to The Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums all day to enjoy half price admissions. Enjoy the Mine Tour and Train Rides and make sure to stop at the Gift Shop!

5:00pm - 6:00pm: Platteville Regional Chamber’s 26th Annual Party in the Park “Salute to Volunteers” at City Park with a program at 5:30pm Our community is filled with volunteers that should be recognized! Optimist Club will be serving FREE hot dogs and ice cream!

6:00pm - 8:00pm: Music in the Park featuring Ken Killian and the Classic Big Band

5:00pm - 7:00pm: Trinity Episcopal Church will be hosting a Fish Boil. Dine-In or takeout is available. Seasoned cod, a vegetable, and pie will be served for $15 per person. 250 Market St.

8:00am - 12:00pm: Platteville Farmer’s Market at City Park

8:00am - 2:00pm: Hometown Festival Art & Craft Fair at City Park. Enjoy local vendors for a nice day of shopping!

1:00pm - 4:30pm: Southwest Christian Festival at City Park. Come experience the musical talents of churches from throughout the community. Bring your lawn chair, sit back, and enjoy a free outdoor concert. If there is bad weather, the event will be moved to the City Hall Auditorium. Watch for more details as the event draws near!
