6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Sal and Francesca LoBaido Volunteer Service Award Dinner - $70
The Sal & Francesca (Corky) LoBaido Volunteer Service Award is presented to individuals and businesses who have shown a long-term commitment and dedication to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival. Their volunteerism and achievements have truly contributed to the ongoing success of the Carnival, and they have set an example for others to follow. They have not only given of themselves to the Winter Carnival, but have also made an impact through their volunteerism in their own communities.

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Blue Coat Dinner - $50.00
Join us as we honor the 2022 King’s Guard and raise funds for the Order of the Royal Guard. A portion of the proceeds are used to purchase the Blue Guard Coat, which keeps the King’s Guards warm while protecting the Royal Family during those months that are unfit for human habitation.

Social hour at 6pm
Dinner (Pasta Buffet) starts at 7pm, followed by a Program
 
There will be Live & Silent Auction items

Join us for this new fall fundraiser to benefit the 2023 Saint Paul Winter Carnival
The evening will include inspirational speakers and music, a silent auction including unique Winter Carnival memorabilia and a Saint Paul Winter Carnival merchandise sale.

This year’s contest will be held at the Hilton DoubleTree Saint Paul East.

The magic of the 10-day Winter Carnival festival begins with the Royal Coronation where the new King Boreas – the Mighty Monarch of Ice & Snow, his Royal Guards, Aurora – Queen of the Snows, and the four Wind Princes and Princesses are revealed.

5:30pm: Check-in & Social Hour

8:00pm: Royal Coronation of the 2022 Royal Family

45th Annual Championship and Household Pet Cat Show

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: King Boreas Grande Day Parade
The King Boreas Grande Day Parade is our daytime procession down West 7th Street featuring dozens of bands, floats and, of course, the newly crowned King Boreas and his Royal Family.
Parade Route: West 7th at Smith to 5th Street to Washington to 4th Street and disassembly will start at Market on 4th.  Disassembly will continue to Wabasha. All Hotel Guests will be directed to Kellogg and Market for entry and exit Market to 5th street.

5:30 pm - 7:30 pm: Vulcan Victory Torchlight Parade
Vulcanus Rex will use his wily ways to light up the streets of downtown Saint Paul for the Vulcan Victory Torchlight Parade marking the Vulcans march to overthrow King Boreas and bring summer back to the city of Saint Paul.  

Businesses, governmental agencies, community groups are all welcome to participate.
Spectators are welcome to watch along 5th Street or find a warm place in the skyway system
Location start: 5th and Wall, along 5th Street
Location end: Rice Park, stay for the Vulcan Overthrow on the steps of the James J. Hill Library to learn more about the legend of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival

7:00 pm - 7:15 pm: Overthrow of King Boreas
Watch as Vulcanus Rex storms the magnificent “ice” castle and confronts the Royal King’s Guard.  Upon the good counsel of the Queen, Boreas waves farewell to the people of his winter capitol and Vulcanus once again rules the land. Fireworks and live music immediately follow in Rice Park.
