Due to popular demand, architectural expert and Wethersfield Historical Society president Dorene Ciarcia joins retired teacher Carol Bruce in offering another opportunity for the public to enjoy their walking tour of Wethersfield’s beautiful houses of worship. If you didn’t take last year’s tour, there’s a location on the tour you may not expect. (If you were present last year, feel free to join us again. While the locations are the same, no two tours are ever identical. In deference to your fellow walkers who may be enjoying the tour for the first time - No Spoilers!)
In 1818, Connecticut adopted a new state constitution which granted all people freedom to practice their own religions. As a result, new houses of worship were built to meet the rising need. The tour convenes at Trinity Episcopal Church (300 Main Street, Wethersfield).
Admission is $10 for the general public. Cash only, please. Current members of Wethersfield Historical Society admitted free receive free admission.
