Scenthound, a wellness-focused dog care service whose primary goal is to keep dogs clean, healthy and happy, recently opened its newest location in Short Pump, Virginia. Located at 10921 W Broad St. Suite. B, the new store is now open and operating with plans to celebrate its Grand Opening Event on May 11 in partnership with the Richmond SPCA. All proceeds collected on Saturday, May 11will be donated to the Richmond SPCA to help support the care and rehabilitation of homeless dogs awaiting adoption. In addition to the Short Pump location, two more Scenthound locations will be coming soon to the Greater Richmond area to make routine hygiene and preventive care accessible for all dogs in Richmond.

The new Short Pump location is operated by Freddie Harris, a former corporate team member and a long-time dog lover, and Scott Lata, a former manager at The Country Club of Virginia. Freddie previously worked remotely at the Scenthound corporate office on the technology team, integrating software solutions to support the growth of the brand and ensure its franchisee’s success in operations. Scott previously worked as a Food and Beverage Manager of The Country Club of Virginia’s Cool Springs Café and Ollie’s. Starting as a waiter and working his way up to managing over 50 staff, he is motivated by building relationships with staff and clients while providing exceptional service for Scenthound’s members.

Inspired by Scenthound’s mission and with a strong belief in the brand’s purpose, Freddie and Scott have embarked on a journey to open three new Scenthound Scenters in the Greater Richmond area. Freddie and Scott are driven to cultivate a work environment where the 20-30 new employees can pursue a career aligned with their passion for dog wellness.
