About Us

Troy Presbyterian Church (TPC) is an evangelical church within the Presbyterian Church (USA). The word evangelical, comes from a word that means good news. At TPC we are committed to sharing, explaining and living out the good news of Jesus Christ as found in the Bible. Our theology centers around the person of Jesus Christ and the authority of the Scriptures, which we believe is inspired by God. Our mission is to know Christ in a life-changing way and to share him with others.

We are a family-sized church where people meet together to learn, grow and share in their faith journey. One of our key convictions is that faith is a journey. None of us has arrived, no one is perfect.

In our congregation you’ll find a range of people in different life circumstances. The majority of the folks coming to TPC are young families with children, but we also have retirees and single adults.

History

Troy Presbyterian Church has a long, rich history. Founded in 1831, it has the distinction of being the oldest church organization still in existence in Lincoln County. Construction on the present church building was completed in 1874.

At TPC we value being part of a rich heritage, even as we constantly seek fresh ways to understand and communicate the good news about Jesus Christ today.
