The Sheriff's duty is to maintain peace within the county, and as an elected official the Sheriff is accountable to the people of Tillamook County. Citizens living and visiting Tillamook County receive many services from your Sheriff's Office. In the unincorporated areas of Tillamook County deputies provide Law Enforcement and emergency response. But there is much more to the Sheriff’s Office than patrolling the rural parts of our county. Some of the major operations include running and maintaining the jail, Search and Rescue on land and water, processing and delivery of civil papers, Community Corrections (Parole and Probation), Court House Security, Emergency Management, major crime team response, and support of the municipal City Police Departments.
