Talent Middle School was built as Talent High School in the mid 50's. When the Talent and Phoenix school districts consolidated in 1959, Talent High School became Talent Junior High School, a school for 7th and 8th graders. Extensive remodeling allowed Talent Middle School to open its doors to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders for the first time in 1990. Since that time, we have grown into a well-recognized middle school program. In the spring of 2000, Paul George, a nationally noted middle school consultant and scholar declared TMS to be "one of the best middle schools (he's) ever visited."
