Soroptimist means "Best for Women" and we are the only service organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through programs to educate and empower. Our signature program is the Live Your Dream Award, a cash grant to women enrolled in education courses to improve her opportunities in life. Our Manhattan Beach club was founded in 1953 and has over 50 members from all business and educational backgrounds. We are part of an international organization with clubs in 130 countries and our mission is to reach women in all parts of the world and increase their chances for successful and healthy lives.
