Welcome to the Connecticut Chapter

The Connecticut Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's (NOCC) goal is to advance the NOCC's mission is to raise awareness and promote education about ovarian cancer throughout the State. Our Chapter is based in the "quiet corner" of the Northeast but supports the efforts of volunteers across the entire State.  The Chapter was re-established in July of 2009 and kicked off on September 19th with an exciting and successful dinner dance for National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.  As a Chapter, we are a supportive arm of and participant in the NOCC.  We strive to actively seek methods to improve awareness of ovarian cancer and to educate women and healthcare professionals on the risk factors, symptoms, and treatments of ovarian cancer.

Our Chapter's web pages have been designed to provide you with the following:

  • information relating to ovarian cancer
  • information on resources to assist you
  • information on events and activities of our Chapter

Ovarian cancer touches many lives - husbands, children, parents, brothers, sisters, and friends.  Unfortunately, due to its subtle symptoms and rarity, most women know little or nothing about ovarian cancer.  Whether you already have ovarian cancer, know someone who does, or have been fortunate thus far to not be touched by this disease, knowledge about the disease is a powerful tool for you.  We encourage all women to learn the symptoms of this disease and share this information with family, friends, and co-workers.

Our Chapter is comprised of ovarian cancer survivors, their families and friends, and health care professionals.  We invite anyone with an interest in raising awareness about ovarian cancer to join our efforts.

Please contact us at 860-861-0061 or send an email to[email protected] if you need support, are looking for information, or would like to volunteer.  We look forward to hearing from you.
