Musick Mountain Farm
My farm is nestled in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of southeast Kentucky. I live on a forested mountain with a pond, hiking opportunities, and fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. My daughter and son-in-law live on the farm but due to jobs and school have limited time to help run the farm. I have approximately 1 acre where I grow a wide variety of organic vegetables including onions, beets, sweet potatoes, potatoes, arugula, dill, cilantro, basil, parsley, carrots, beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers, peas, turnips, radishes, winter squash, pumpkins, lettuce, spinach, bok choy, mustard, kale, Chinese cabbage, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, swiss chard, celery, garlic, okra, zucchini, yellow summer squash, cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe and kohlrabi .
Eating by the Seasons
May- June
The vegetables I will have during this time will be: lettuce, spinach, radish, swiss chard, green onions, kohlrabi, Chinese cabbage, bok choy, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, peas.
July
There will be cucumbers, summer squash, green beans, tomatoes, beets, carrots, onions, garlic, leeks, parsley, basil and other fresh herbs and still some May-June veggies
August
More July vegetables plus sweet corn, sweet and hot peppers, okra
Sept-Oct
Potatoes, winter squash, sweet potatoes, celery, lettuce, radish, spinach, bok choy, chinese cabbage, parsley, arugula, turnips, mustard greens, collards, kale .

Members will pick up their shares at the Whitley County Extension Office located on Hwy. 25 in Goldbug, near Interstate 75, Exit 15 , between 5:30-7pm, every Tues. May-Oct.
