Hazelgreen Fire Protection District is all volunteer We have around 15 fire fighters and four officers, and are always looking for more volunteers. The fire district was established in 1981, by neighbor that wanted to help their neighbors due to the long wait for fire and emergence medical services. This is where our Department Moto came from Neighbors Helping Neighbors! Robert Woody was our first fire chief. Robert Woody retired and Doug Carter then become chief. Doug Carter served until he pasted away from cancer. Larry Brown then served as our chief until he moved out of state. Jim Orball then took the position as chief until he resigned and Linda Carter became chief until she moved away. Currently Eric Price is our chief. Hazelgreen fire strives to bring our citizens the best in fire and emergency services, that is up to date, innovative, and progressive, as well as a caring helping hand to relay on in a time of need.
