About Us

The Greenville Entertainment Series, formerly called the Community Concert association, brings live, professional entertainment to Greenville. Through a series of concerts, it provides something for everyone's musical interest. Programs vary from classical artists to big bands to country and western. The cost of a membership, which entitles one to attend all of the concerts, approximates that of a single concert in a city such as Dallas.

Admittance to the concerts is by membership only. This can only be purchased during the annual drive, which takes place early in the spring and lasts three weeks. The cost of a membership is: adults $30, students $10, and a family $70 which includes all children under 18. A grandparent membership is also available and includes two adults and all their grandchildren under 18 for $70. No tickets will be sold for individual concerts. A member is also entitled to attend concerts in other Concert Association cities that have a "reciprocity agreement" with Greenville. Reciprocity cities are listed on a separate page of this web site. Their concerts and dates will be listed on that page when we receive them.

The expense of the series is only partially paid for through membership sales. A large amount is collected through a Series Sponsorship Program, commonly referred to as the "Patron Program," in which individuals and businesses donate tax-deductible money. These donors are listed in the Patron Program, which is given out at every concert.

The Greenville Entertainment Series is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. All the money collected during the drive goes toward the hiring of the artists, the expenses associated with their performances and campaign expenses.
