The Grain Valley Schools were recently named ‘One of the Best Places to  Work’ in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Kansas City-area employers continue to be at the forefront of finding creative and meaningful ways to attract and reward employees nationwide. Thousands of employees rated those efforts in the Kansas City Business Journal’s 2005 Best Places to Work awards program. Answering a uniform online survey administered by a market research firm, employees evaluated their companies on issues such as team effectiveness, trust, retention and management effectiveness. The result is an impressive list of businesses and organizations that offer personally and professionally rewarding employment opportunities. This year the contest was expanded to recognize the top 10 winners in three size categories. The Grain Valley Schools were listed as a top 10 winner in the large employer category with over 250 employees.
