About Us:

There are over 30,000 Rotary Clubs in the world, and they work together in groups or on their own. Through hard work, Rotary International has helped to rid our continent of polio. And by 2005 it will be eliminated from our planet. Because a primary objective is a peaceful world, Rotary was instrumental in the formation of the United Nations and has received its own Nobel Peace Prize. Our Ambassadorial Scholarship Fund, the largest of any private organization in the world, is designed to underwrite better human understanding between countries.

On a local level our Rotary Club has supported programs to send wheelchairs to people in South Africa and Ecuador. We have painted and renovated homes for the less fortunate in our community. We actively support our new African American Cultural Center. In our "Role Call" program we feature solid adult black role models who set a fine example for all of us. You're bound to find us at most community events where we find time to have fun while we raise money.

Sports lovers will be happy to know that we are the proud sponsors of our city's only pre-Little League baseball effort.

Mom was also right about the Golden Rule and sharing with others. Wherever she may be - wouldn't she be proud that you paid attention and joined us this Friday. We'll break bread, have breakfast, and save the world!
