The mission of the Dobbins/Randolph AVTS is to provide its student population with a broad array of instructional, support, and enrichment programs, designed to enable students to successfully complete high school while attaining sufficient academic and vocational credits and skills to pursue post secondary education and/or become gainfully employed, all with the overarching goal of graduating productive, contributing citizens.

To this end, Dobbins/Randolph strives to offer a complete academic program which encourages students to pursue the highest levels of academic achievement; to provide a comprehensive vocational education program with a full complement of both instructional and transition-to-work services; to provide staff development activities designed to improve the quality of instruction; and to conduct ongoing planning and assessment activities involving both school staff and the greater school community, with the aim of restructuring the delivery of student services to meet the demands of the technology explosion, the changing nature of the workplace, and the changing nature of the concept of "employability."
