The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) comes from a religious movement started on the American frontier and based on the belief that Jesus Christ unites all faithful Christians.

We serve the Lord's Supper every Sunday and we invite all who believe that Jesus is the Christ to take the Lord's Supper.

We baptize by immersion, but The Carrollton First Christian Church accepts into membership without rebaptism those who have been baptized in other ways either as infants or adults.

We emphasize the Bible, not as it is interpreted to us by others, but as we interpret it after careful study and the application of God's gifts of intelligence, wisdom and understanding.

Common slogans among early Disciples included, "No creed but Christ; no book but the Bible," and "In faith unity, in opinions diversity, in all things love."

Baptized Christians transfer their membership by coming forward during worship at the time of invitation and reaffirming their confession of faith. The question we ask is, "Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Lord and Savior of your life and of the world?"
