Mission

Our mission is to celebrate the diversity of Berkeley people by keeping Berkeley’s history a vital part of our lives. The Berkeley Historical Society (BHS) is a non-profit all-volunteer group serving as a primary resource for the collection and preservation of local history. The Society's mission is to keep Berkeley's history alive. The Berkeley Historical Society was established during the 1978 Berkeley Centennial Celebration.
