Mission

The Avon Junior Women's Club is an organization serving the philanthropic needs of Avon, Connecticut and the surrounding communities.

Our activities vary from year to year and are based on current community needs. Our volunteer members have contributed their time and talents by organizing or participating in events such as The Hero Dinner, Avon Day, The Evening in the Valley : Wine Tasting/ Gourmet Food Tasting/ Dancing, holiday meal donations and various activities with local nursing homes and community centers. Yearly financial contributions are also made to local groups.

We are a non-sectarian, non-partisan, non-profit organization. We have the determination letter from the Department of the Treasury, issued in March 1995, granting us a charity status and exemption from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
