Fresh air. Incredible views. A screen-free sunset. It’s all part of the Seaport Kids x Screen-Free Summer Recess + Social Media Talk for Parents on The Rooftop at Pier 17 on Wednesday, Aug 23. While the kids practice their jump rope skills with coaching from Double Dutch Lovers NYC hosted by Mommy Poppins, parents can attend a timely discussion about ways social media and screens affect the brain, featuring Dr. Heidi Bender, a certified neuropsychologist from NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine.
 
With hula hoops, hopscotch, and practical tips & info for parents, it’s the perfect event for the whole family to enjoy on our unique rooftop space. Double Dutch kicks off at 5:30pm and the parent talk begins at 6:00pm, both on The Rooftop at Pier 17. Parents can enjoy a complimentary cocktail while hearing from Dr. Heidi Bender and mingling with other parents.
