Fall/Winter Series Set Thru December 2023

The Stratford Library has announced that its “Books Over Coffee” program will continue for live, in-person meetings in the Lovell Room through December 2023. The monthly book discussion program, hosted by Stratford Library staffer Linda LiDestri, has been a popular staple at the library for over 40 years. It is free and open to the public.

The library continues to offer the latest in current titles and topics and on Wednesday, September 27 Sara Novic’s True Biz will kick-off the fall/winter series. Praised by the New York Times as a “tender, beautiful and radiantly outraged novel”, True Biz follows a year of seismic romantic, political, and familial shifts for a teacher and her students at a boarding school for the deaf.

Other titles for “Books Over Coffee” 2023 include: The Eden Test by Adam Sternbergh (October 25), We All Want Impossible Things by Catherine Newman (November 29) and Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt (December 20).

“Books Over Coffee” begins at 12 noon in the Library’s Lovell Room. Copies of all books are currently available for loan at the library’s Circulation Desk. The titles are also available for loan on Kindle and Nook eReaders.
