From: Texas Governor Greg Abbott

Thank you for signing up to be notified when the Regulatory Compliance Division of the Office of the Governor commences a review of a proposed rule. Established pursuant to Subchapter C, Chapter 57, Texas Occupations Code, the Regulatory Compliance Division conducts an independent review of certain state agencies’ proposed rules that affect market competition to assess their consistency with state policy as clearly articulated by the Legislature in state statute.

The Regulatory Compliance Division has recently commenced review of and is currently accepting public comments on the following rules:

  • Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, Title 22 Texas Administrative Code §§361.1, 361.4, 361.6, 361.10, 361.12, and 361.15. Public comments will be accepted through April 3, 2023.

The proposed rules update definitions, administrative Board procedures, license fees, provisions related to historically underutilized businesses, provisions related to advisory boards, and the procedure for electing a Board Secretary.

To view the state agency’s rule submission memo and instructions for submitting public comments on the rule, please visit the Regulatory Compliance Division’s Website. For more information or any questions, please send us a message or call 512-463-8500.
