Part ritual, part manifestation, part war, part opera – this durational performance structured in seven scenarios called ‘days’ is an immersive, participatory, and durational spectacle. This new opera features musical forms, melodies, and instruments that wholly subvert the form – think: turntables, Ngoma drums, mbira, and samples of field recordings.
