Historic Preservation and the France-Merrick Foundation

Clubs and Organizations

August 25, 2023

From: Historic Annapolis

Our strength stems from your commitment.

“Historic Annapolis does such an incredible job of educating the public about the history of Annapolis and the State of Maryland. France-Merrick Foundation’s work on historic preservation hopes that future generations experience and discover their own connections to the history of our community. Our support of Historic Annapolis has allowed us to further that work.”

- Gary Williams, Program Officer, France-Merrick Foundation

France-Merrick Foundation was one of many generous donors who invested in the restoration of 99 Main Street, a building with historical and architectural significance, so we could open the Museum of Historic Annapolis. Beyond connecting the public with past stories and voices of current community members, the Museum is an extraordinary community asset that directly supports the local economy and heritage tourism.
