Pick up a step log at the Groton Public Library, and join the monthly Circle of Friends’ 150,000 step challenge! Turn in your completed log at the end of the month for a chance to win a prize. To help keep you motivated, walk and chat with us on Thursday mornings. In the event of inclement weather, the walks will be cancelled.
Groton Outdoor Market
Saturday, August 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Groton Public Library and Thrive 55+ are teaming up to present our second annual Groton Outdoor Market! There will be crafts, antiques, art, household items, and baked goods for sale. The Library will have a "name your own price" book sale. Bring a blanket or chair and listen to music in the shade.
Circle of Friends Monthly Meetup

Bumpers & Books Planning Meeting

Would you like to help plan the Groton Public Library’s 7th Annual Bumpers & Books event? The Junior Friends need your input to help make this year's event bigger and better than ever before. Attendees of all ages are welcome to attend our meeting.

Paws for a Cause
The Junior Friends of the Groton Public Library are sponsoring a summer pet food drive to benefit Groton Animal Control during the month of August. Drop off new, unopened donations of dry and canned dog food, dog treats, dry cat food, and wet kitten food at the Library.
Library Helper Day
Friday, August 19, at 10:30 a.m.
During this busy hour, the Junior Friends will assist Groton Public Library staff in a variety of projects, including preparing craft and program materials, dusting and light cleaning, straightening shelves, and special event preparation.
Family Film & Fundraiser
Saturday, August 27, at 2 p.m.
The Junior Friends will present a Saturday showing of a family-friendly film. Refreshments will be for sale with proceeds to benefit the Groton Public Library. Feel free to bring your pillows and blankets as you enjoy the movie on the big screen! Call the Library at (860) 441-6750 for this month’s film title.
