Spring Adventures

Winter is quickly approaching, and many of us are already looking forward to when spring arrives, bringing with it the colorful migrants that greet us each morning in song. Plan to join us on our adventures in Spring 2024, including these upcoming favorites!

Migration Chase: Delmarva Peninsula

April 16 – 20, 2024  Five Days!

Venture to the Delmarva Peninsula, the piece of mainland sandwiched between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean that comprises all of DELaware, the eastern portion of MARyland (including the renowned “Eastern Shore” of Chesapeake Bay), and a disconnected sliver of VirginiA. After visiting key natural and historic areas, you’ll come away with a good feel for the land, its regional culture, and its wild inhabitants. Explore varied habitats in search of birds as you scour the beaches, visit the vast marshland, and enjoy the first glimpses of spring. Enjoy first–hand Chesapeake foods, traditions, history, birds, and scenery. Destinations include Bombay Hook NWR and Assateague National Seashore.

Warbler Extravaganza: Magee to Pelee

May 6 – 16, 2024    10 Days!

This ultimate adventure circumnavigates Lake Erie at the peak of migration. Protected areas along the shoreline provide habitat for migrants on their way to boreal breeding grounds. Explore Presque Isle, Tawas Point, world–famous Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, and Point Pelee National Park. Over 30 warbler species are expected, along with many vireos, flycatchers, swallows, and thrushes. A final night at Niagara Falls allows for reflection over friendships and memories made. Travel is via our luxury van from Connecticut. A perfect trip for birders of all levels!
