Weekly Summer Craft

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a weekly craft table courtesy of teen volunteers. The craft table hours will be Mondays-Thursdays 10am-12pm & 2:30-6:30pm, and Fridays from 10am-12pm. Ages 0-12 are welcome to drop by. Weekly Craft table ends August 4 with additional dates when volunteers are available. Ready For Kindergarten

Join the Children’s Dept. for an interactive workshop for parents of children entering Kindergarten this fall. Children ages 4-6 are welcome. Please sign up for one workshop, either on August 3 at 6pm or August 4 at 10:30am. Registration is required. To register, visit the website at stratfordlibrary.org, then choose Events. Book Scientists Theatre

Children ages 3 to 12 can discover a love of theatre with a grab and go at the Stratford Library. Kits include Library books selected by the child’s age and an activity. When you are done, return the Library books by their due date and keep everything else! Registration required while supplies last. Counting Animals Grab & Go Kit

Learn how to count from 1-10 with the Stratford Library Children’s Dept. grab & go kit on counting animals for children ages 2-6. Numbers are listed in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. All other materials in the kit are in English. Pick up begins on Monday, August 7, 14, and 21 (each week is a different kit). Registration is required. LEGO Club

The Stratford Library will offer LEGO Club on Monday, August 7 at 4:00 pm for ages 5-12 in the Children’s Dept. Registration required. Treehouse Science

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. is offering summer science experiments on Friday, August 11 at 2:30 pm for ages 7-12. Join us at the Children’s Dept.’s new treehouse STEAM table for summer science fun! Book Scientists Under The Sea

Join the Stratford Library for some under the sea fun with a Book Scientist Kit that includes books and an activity for ages 3-12. Learn about some neat aquatic animals & their world. Pick up starts Friday, August 18. Kits are checked out on a Library Card. Books are selected based on age of the child participating. Back To School Storytime

Join the Stratford Library Children’s Dept. in celebrating the beginning of a new school year on Friday, August 25 at 10:30am for children ages 3-6. Nutmeg Book Group

Stratford Library is offering the Nutmeg book group for children entering grades 4-6 this summer. Each month, children will read and discuss one of the 2024 CT Nutmeg Book Award intermediate titles. August’s pick will be Ben Yokoyama & the Cookie of Doom. Read the book & then join us on Zoom for a book discussion on Monday, August 28 at 7 pm. One Grab ‘n’ Go kit per family.
