The Office of the Governor's Child Sex Trafficking Team is pleased to share the below funding opportunities for Fiscal Year 2024. Requests for Applications (RFAs) can be found on the Funding Opportunities tab of the eGrants website. Interested applicants should read these carefully.
Applicants must access the Public Safety Office (PSO) eGrants grant management website at https://eGrants.gov.texas.gov to register and apply for funding. The final date to submit and certify an application is February 9, 2023 at 5:00 PM CST.
Applicants should also contact their applicable regional council of governments (COG) regarding their application. Each of Texas’ 24 COGs holds its own application planning workshops, workgroups, and/or subcommittees and facilitates application prioritization for programs within its region. Failure to comply with regional requirements imposed by a COG may render an application ineligible.
Requests for Applications
Residential and Community-Based Services for Victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation
The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support programs for children, aged 0-17, and transition-age youth, aged 18-24, who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and support their healing through immediate and long-term services. These programs include: emergency residential placements, long-term residential placements, drop-in centers, specialized behavioral health services, and innovative services that advance recovery of, and support healing for, survivors. Consideration will be given to a limited number of innovative services for survivors that do not fit into one of the other program types. View RFA.
Specialized Advocacy for Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth
The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth (CSEY) Advocacy programs. These programs provide individualized 24/7 crisis response, ongoing trust-based relational support, and case management for children, aged 0-17, and transition-age youth, aged 18-24, who are survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. Applicants may choose to apply for funding to serve children, transition-age youth, or both populations. View RFA.
County Innovations to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation
The purpose of this announcement is to solicit applications from counties for innovative projects that prevent, investigate, and/or prosecute commercial sexual exploitation in Texas. Eligible activities include: targeted investigation and prosecution, program evaluation and assessment, and innovative programs for projects that do not fit neatly into the other eligible activities. General Victim Assistance Grant Program
This grant is administered by Victim Services within the Public Safety Office. The purpose of this solicitation is to provide services and assistance directly to victims of crime to speed their recovery and aid them through the criminal justice process. Services to adult victims of human trafficking are eligible through the general victim assistance program. This includes survivors of all forms of trafficking including sex and labor. View RFA.
