The 14th Somardi Gras celebration is scheduled for february 10, 2024.

New this year … SoMardi Gras Pre-Party Bash on February 9 at Midtown Billiards from 6–9 p.m. The bash will feature live music by Butterfly from New Orleans, entertainment, food and serve as a fundraiser for the SoMa Pride Crosswalk. 

The 11th Little Rock Beard and Mustache Contest presented by Sport Clips follows the parade. This unique contest features categories for Best Natural Beard Over 6 Inches, Best Natural Beard Under 6 Inches, Best Mustache, Best Groomed Beard, Most Original Beard, and Best DIY Crafted Beard.

The highlight of SoMardi Gras has always been the creative and colorful floats, and this year is no exception. SoMa is calling for "krewes" to enter, whether they are a group of friends, a church, school, social club, or workplace. For non-profit organizations looking to participate, the SoMardi Gras organizers will try to match them with corporate sponsors; however, we cannot guarantee a match.
